Your MongoDB Atlas bill includes key sections such as the following:

Atlas Embedding and Reranking API
Atlas bills the Embedding and Reranking API based on your usage:
For text-based models, charges apply per token.
For multimodal models that process images and videos, charges apply per pixel.
Usage charges for the Embedding and Reranking API appear in the Summary by Service section of your invoice under AI Model APIs.

Clusters
Atlas charges dedicated clusters on an hourly basis and you pay only for the time your cluster is active. The cost depends on factors like the region, cloud provider, and usage (CPU, memory and storage). This estimated price of your cluster is available when you create or edit a cluster.
For example, if you run a M30 cluster on AWS with default settings at $0.54/hour for 24 hours a day for 30 days, you can expect to pay roughly $388/month. If you increase your base storage to 200 GB, your price changes to $0.65/hour, or roughly $468/month. If you switch to a more expensive region like Sao Paulo and do not change any other settings, your price changes to $0.98/hour, or around $705 monthly. To learn more, see Cluster Configuration Costs.
Flex clusters scale with your usage, with a maximum charge of $30 per month. For more information, see Atlas Flex Costs.
Storage
Atlas includes the cost of default storage in the cluster's hourly rate. However, if you customize storage capacity, Atlas charges for the full amount of storage without deducting the cost of the default storage capacity. If you enable Cluster Auto-Scaling, Atlas charges you based on the actual storage usage after you apply auto-scaling.
Backups
For Cloud Backups, Atlas charges for storage of data in your replica set, configuration server, and network transfer during snapshot restoration. If you enable Continuous Cloud Backups, Atlas charges you according to the continuous cloud backup rates.

Data Transfer
Atlas calculates and updates data transfer costs daily based on the cloud service provider hosting your cluster and if you transfer data within the same region or different regions. The Data Transfer section also includes Private Endpoints charges.

BI Connector
If you enable the Atlas BI Connector, Atlas charges as a daily uplift on the cluster's cost, which you can view in the cluster console. The daily rate follows sustained-usage pricing, meaning it is charged only up to a monthly maximum.
Premium Features
The Premium Features section of your Atlas bill includes additional features such as Advanced Security, Database Auditing, and Online Archive, with the costs based on usage, subscription, or resource consumption.

Charts
Atlas bills Charts based on the data you transfer from the Charts web server to web browser clients, with the first 1 GB per month free, and additional data transfers beyond this limit at a fixed rate.

Support
Atlas charges for support based on the selected support tier. Pricing details are available through the UI on the support plan page.
Atlas distributes your support charges proportionally across the cloud providers that host your usage. If your usage spans multiple cloud providers, your invoice lists a separate support line item for each provider, such as AWS Support, Google Cloud Support, and Microsoft Azure Support. If you don't have usage on a cloud provider, no support line item appears for that provider. Support usage that isn't associated with a cloud provider, such as usage for Atlas Embedding and Reranking API, appears under Other Atlas Usage.
For example, if your usage is 50% on AWS, 30% on Google Cloud, and 20% on Microsoft Azure, then Atlas splits your monthly support cost across those providers in the same ratio.
How Atlas collects each support charge depends on your active payment methods. If you pay Atlas directly, Atlas charges all of your support line items. If you have a marketplace commitment with a cloud provider, Atlas routes that provider's support charges to the corresponding marketplace. If you have a combination of payment methods, Atlas routes each provider's support charges accordingly. For example, if you have an AWS Marketplace commitment and pay for your other usage directly, Atlas routes your AWS support charges to AWS Marketplace and charges your Google Cloud and Microsoft Azure support charges directly.
Atlas calculates your support minimum once per month for your entire organization, separately from these per-provider charges. If your support usage for the month is below your minimum, Atlas bills the difference to your primary payment method at the end of the month. If you have multiple commitments, one commitment is designated as your primary payment method. Most customers have a single commitment and aren't affected by this designation.
MongoDB Vector Search Automated Embedding
Atlas bills for Automated Embedding service based on your usage. The charges apply per token.
Usage charges for Automated Embedding appear in the Summary by Service section of your invoice under Automated Embedding.
